MLRA vs. MARS at the Lucas Oil Speedway-August 11th, 2007

MO (August 7, 2007)-The Bad Boys of the O'Reilly MLRA thunder
into the Lucas Oil Speedway on Banta Foods night this Saturday,
August 11th to do battle head to head with the men from MARS
as two of the nation's top dirt late model touring series
take center stage at "The Diamond of the Dirt Tracks".
This will be the third of four appearances at the Lucas Oil
Speedway by the Midwest Late Model Racing Association and
the second and final visit by the Mid-America Racing Series
in 2007. The Pitt's Homes A-Modifieds will also be in action
this Saturday night with a strong field of cars expected.
The O'Reilly
MLRA will be led into combat for this $3000 to win/$500 to
start show by Belton, Missouri's Alan Vaughn as the points
leader while Greenbrier, Arkansas' Bill Frye heads the MARS
contingent into the action as he sits atop the season points
standings after capturing wins in the last two MARS series
events.
A strong
field of dirt late model drivers is expected for this special
event including multi-time MLRA points champion Al Purkey,
former MARS and MLRA champion Terry Phillips, and Jack Sullivan
who captured the first MARS win at the Lucas Oil Speedway
earlier in the season. Jason Bodenhamer, Brandon McCormick,
Will Vaught, Jeremy Payne, Eric Turner, Gary Stolba, and David
Turner among others are also expected to be in attendance
at the speedway this weekend.
The O'Reilly
MLRA two-seater late model will also be on the grounds as
fans can register for a chance to experience the thrill of
a dirt late model from the passenger seat with the talented
Cowboy Chancellor at the wheel.
Spectator
gates open at 5:00pm on Saturday with hot laps scheduled to
begin at 7:00 and racing action set to get underway at approximately
7:30pm. The Pit Gates will be open at 4:00pm. Adult admission
(18-61) at the gate is $22 with Teens and Seniors just $17,
race fans 6-11 are $5, and children 5 and under are admitted
free to the speedway for this special event. Advance discount
tickets are available at all area O'Reilly Auto Parts stores
with Adult admission just $20 and Teens and Seniors only $15.
Pit passes will be $25.

Events August 18th and 25th feature weekly racing series action.
The season point's championships wrap up on September 1st
as the class champions will be crowned. September 8th is a
newly added event to the speedway calendar as the O'Reilly
MLRA once again rolls into town as well as a $2000 to win
modified special. The season wraps on September 22nd-23rd
with Rounds XII and XIII of the WSORR Off Road Racing series
as Nissan presents the "Nissan Showdown in the Show-Me
State".
The track
features a MUSCO Stadium lighting system, an "award winning"
audio system featuring premium Bose speakers, and a Jumbo-Tron
Video Board with Real-time scoring and timing. For your comfort,
21 luxury VIP suites are available for rent on an annual or
nightly basis.
